PASSAROLA PEOPLE
is a Danadian trademark
Danish singer Egil Bargfeldt and bassist Kristian Hybel were wandering, lost and lonely souls when they heard the gentle melodies of a mandolin at a Berlin folk festival in 2011. The mandolin was played by Canadian multi-instrumentalist Derek Ullenboom.
The three immediately became musical brothers and Passarola People was born.
Egil's sapient, intense lyrics are supported by three-part vocal harmonies, Kristian's ubiquitous foundation and the instrumental wizardry of Derek. Their music transcends time and continents, gathering influences from the folk music of their native lands and their adventures on the road.
